In relation to issues concerned with doubling ground rents and the conveyancing of leasehold houses we are working with solicitor Mari Knowles, of Leasehold Law, who has spoken at LKP’s Westminster events before the All Party Parliamentary Group on leasehold reform.

Paul Barnes heads our litigation team. He has established a reputation for being an effective property litigator acting for clients across the UK. With a particular focus on landlord and tenant litigation, Paul acts for leaseholders in relation to a range of property disputes including:
Residential service charge disputes (most commonly including disputes relating to large scale projects of major works and the s.20 consultation procedure)
Applications for the variation of residential leases
Management audits
Paul appears regularly before the High Court, the County Court and the First / Upper Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and generally conducts his own advocacy.
